点评：The city of Toronto, the capital of the province of Ontario, is a dynamic city situated on the northwest shore of Lake Ontario, it is also among the most populous, multicultural, and cosmopolitan cities in North America. The downtown is made up of soaring skyscrapers among several iconic heritage buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries. Dwarfing all of them is the CN Tower, the second-tallest structure in the world, the tallest being Burj Khalifa, Dubai.
Last week I spent a couple of days at the downtown Marriott Hotel right in the heart of the city, next to Eaton Centre and the ancient Trinity Church. The location was ideal for me to explore the city. The Time Square of Toronto at the junction of Yonge and Dundas Street was just a five minutes walk away. So was the Nathan Philip Square and outdoor stadium, the old City Hall and the legislature building. Union Station was also at an easy walking distance. The weather was perfect and I covered a lot of ground, on foot, by boat, train and bus. Visited several museums, Queen's Park, Rogers Centre, Hockey Hall of Fame, the aquarium, CN Tower, Casa Loma castle, the distillery district, Kensington Market, Eaton Centre and also took a harbour cruise.
