点评:I was thrilled to be at this somewhat restored Roman ruin area. The grounds were massive - a whole city in fact.
There is onsite parking and an entry fee. As you enter you will find a gift shop with tickets. We had an assigned guide. I am not sure how that was arranged as I didn't do it. There are also restrooms in this building.
As you enter the grounds, which are enclosed, there is signage in several languages that explain the layout. I didn't get a paper copy.
Several buildings were restored and furnished so you can walk into some and look into others. There are artifacts on display, so you really get a feeling for the life of the city.
We entered the colosseum area stands and also below where the cages and preparation area was located.
The grounds are very large, and we only got to a fraction of what was available. We spent a half a day and that was not nearly enough time for me.
People were there with picnics, so I guess that is allowed.
