点评:I visited the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to observe the orphan elephant feeding. The communication from start to finish was great.
It is mandatory to book your spot in advance online or via email and pay in cash upon arrival (at the time of the writing it was $20 USD for a spot at the orphanage and separate from Sheldrick is a Nairobi National Park entrance fee of $80 USD).
It is a well organized process funneling everyone into the observation area and watching all of the elephants come running in for their feeding.
There was a man speaking into a microphone explaining the process, the elephants, the other animals and the history (there is also written information scattered throughout where people can stand and read if they choose to).
It was incredible to see the majestic elephants and learn about their backgrounds. Despite the fact that there were many people in attendance, it was a well orchestrated process with the animals being respected.
I would definitely recommend coming here (I was the absolute last customer to leave as I was enjoying looking around, taking photos and made a purchase at the outdoor gift shop).
