A wonderful quirky garden ideal for exploring

点评：What a wonderful quirky place! We visited early on Easter Sunday 2025, the sun was shining, the staff/volunteers were all very friendly, helpful and full of interesting information.
There is good parking on site (though I'd recommend arriving early on sunny days and bank holidays!), we managed to clock up 3.5k so it's perfect for a moderate stroll and with so much to explore, it's impossible to get bored.
From formal Italian gardens which were very pretty to the quirkier parts like the Chinese garden, we loved being able to find something interesting around every corner and the addition of a shop, cafe and toilets make this a great half day out option.
As with most places these days, however, do be aware that 2 cans of Coke Zero came in at a hefty £5, so drinks and ice creams for an entire family are likely to set you back a bit!
All in all though, an excellent garden that would be especially good for families with children, but as an older couple, we found plenty to enjoy too.
