点评:We had an amazing experience with Paolo as our tour guide in Bologna! He took my husband and me on a private food-focused tour that was one of the highlights of our trip. We started at a family-owned Parmesan facility, where Paolo walked us through the entire cheese-making process—it was absolutely fascinating, and the tasting afterward was delicious.
Next, we visited a small, family-run balsamic vinegar farm nestled in the hills. The drive up was beautiful, and the tasting was such a treat—I ended up buying a bottle to take home because it was that good.
Our final stop was a prosciutto factory, where we learned all about how prosciutto is made, followed by a generous tasting of different meats. Throughout the day, Paolo was incredibly knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, and shared so much insight not just about the food but also the region and its traditions.
He was also great with communication leading up to the tour, making everything easy and seamless. We loved getting to see a different side of Italy—beyond the main cities—and would absolutely recommend this tour (and Paolo!) to anyone visiting Bologna or nearby.
