点评：During our first visit to Semmering, we enrolled our family in ski lessons. Our instructor was nice and pro but this was not the case of employees at the school. Our elderly aunt (over 65 years old) needed an urgent restroom break and made her way back to the ski school, removed her ski boots and used a teachers footwear to navigate the wet floor safely. She probably should not have but was in urgent need to use the restroom. She was denied access to the facilities and was shouted at and told to ‘get out’ threatening to call the police. This treatment was not only shocking to us but also drew comments from other guests and instructors who felt the ski school manager’s actions were unnecessary. Overall, despite Semmering’s tourist destination, we found the service and hospitality lacking, leaving us feeling unwelcome. It was not easy to navigate or communicate across the town due to language barriers. We do not plan to return and do not recommend this destination to foreigners. The ski resorts in the western part are probably more geared to welcome international guests.
