点评:We visited The devils Cauldron and Lydford Gorge in October, it wasn't particularly busy. First off was The Devils cauldron, a spectacular walk down to it and along a quite narrow and at times slippery footpath rewards you with some stunning scenery we walked along the tracks as far as we could but its blocked by a padlocked metal gate due to the hazardous nature of the rest of the footpath, so we turned back and up the pathway to the top again. I must stress The devils Cauldron is NOT suitable in any way for pushchairs or Prams (and in places Dogs) some of the steps are literally carved out the rockface! We then drove a couple of miles or so to the second part which was Lydford Gorge, the tickets we bought at the Devils Cauldron allow free access to Lydford Gorge (and vice versa). The pathway down to the Gorge is quite steep but is suitable for prams/Pushchairs (and even mobility scooters!) and Dogs are fine with it as well but be aware it is very slippy in places, once at the bottom of the Gorge the waterfall does reward you and it looks fantastic as does the river that runs through the Gorge. Its a bit of a steep walk on the way up though thats for sure but very much worth the effort.
