点评:This is one of the “smaller” outlet malls located in Chiba; smaller being relative here compared to the other larger outlet malls like Kisarazu, but the upside is that it is located fairly close by to Tokyo city centre (<1 h journey by train) and still boasts quite a number of shops spread across two-storey blocks A to D. We arrived via car on a general weekend morning (~11.20 am or so), there were still ample parking spaces in their directly-managed parking lots. We parked at the multi-storey P1, which is the closest of all the recommended parking spots to the outlet mall. When arriving, note that you cannot make a right-turn into P1; only left-turns are allowed. This is not something that might be factored in when relying on the GPS for navigation! There is no direct access to the outlet mall from P1 either, you have to take the elevator down to the ground floor and proceed from there. The blocks within Mitsui Outlet mall are connected via second floor though! Something we didn’t really pay much attention to was that spending 3,000 yen or more at one store entitles you to first 2 h free parking! Spend 3,000 yen or more at the second and third store allows you to claim up to 4 h of free parking. Otherwise, parking is 200 yen per 30 minutes. For P1, you validate your parking tickets and pay for the parking at the machine on the ground floor, right opposite the elevator. You cannot make payment at the exit gantry, so please ensure you validate before leaving P1.
Overall, I think the spread of shops is quite ok, you will find famous Western brands like PUMA, COACH, Kate Spade etc., though I do understand that the items are not major cost-savings by any means. Local brands fared much better apparently! My main gripe with the mall was the general lack of food options or rest spaces (mostly only on 1F), and even the lack of toilets (some blocks do not have toilets on 2F)!
