Fitzroy Island Turtle Rehabilitation Centre的点评
点评：What an amazing little centre!
I want to be very clear, this is not an aquarium, you won’t see loads of tanks and turtles, you won’t see a big touristy corporate looking centre. Where you spend hours. You’re paying towards a worthy cause that relies on charity and a small income.
But what you will see is hard working, extremely knowledgeable people that are doing a lot of work to make a difference, saving these animals and promoting better understanding of the environment, the humans impact and how we all can make a big difference with small actions. I was overwhelmed with the knowledge of our tour guide Nicki Stewart, she was excellent, passionate, enthusiastic and able to answer all questions and even teach some of the biggest ‘know-it-all’s’ in the group. It was amazing to see the turtle Raine, even though it was so sad she was unwell, but she was lucky enough to be rescued and cared for and we were fortunate to see her and spend time learning about her. Instead of people knocking this activity for not being glitzy enough, they need to see the good that it’s doing. I’d give it more than 5 stars.
