Disappointing Turtle "experience"
Fitzroy Island Turtle Rehabilitation Centre的点评
点评：I read the reviews prior to going to the Turtle Rehabilitation center so I wasn't expecting a "sea world experience", but this was truly disappointing. You can't even call it a center - it's two walls with a garage roll up door as an entrance around a chain link fenced off area in a clearing, a small seating area and ONE turtle in a "pool" 12' x 12' that swims back and forth ENDLESSLY and has been there for 3 YEARS with no expectation of being released!!! (per the 20ish Y.O. "expert" - who turned out to be just one of the migrant workers from the resort).
There is a wall that has information and a painted depiction of all 7 marine turtles, that the "expert" read her speech from, guess if I couldn't read that would have been worth it.
As an "attraction" to go to on Fitzroy Island - save your $20pp and go to the beach / resort pool; you'll have a far better time.
