An absolute must for anyone visiting anywhere near here
Towneley Hall Art Gallery & Museum的点评
点评：Please make visiting here a priority if you live nearby or are visiting anywhere near here. A lot of effort and funding has gone into restoring and renovating the building, and the volunteers are very passionate about it.
After searching for somewhere nice to take my parents for an afternoon, Townselely Hall looked like the place that would provide lovely greenery for walking along with options of cafes for us to rest in. We started the day at the garden Centre located nearby and fed the ducks near one of the ponds. This was followed by a walk towards the hall and the grandeur of the building was immediately evident. Tickets were about £5 each, and we realised later that this would give us access to the building for the whole year!
Immediately, the passion of the volunteers was apparent. We were walked through multiple parts of the building by multiple volunteers Who were knowledgeable about various aspects including the Egyptian artefacts, the furniture and rooms, and the art gallery. They all loved the space and they reminded us constantly that our tickets allowed us to enjoy the space as well for a whole year. There is the building, the Italian gardens, the outdoor space, and the multiple cafes to enjoy.
This is a great attraction and day out that has been supported by multiple grants and the passionate volunteers. Please do support them and enjoy what is available here.
