点评:We knew we wanted to do a chocolate making class and my husband stumbled upon the website for this one. This is not just a class, it is a tour—an experience. Ancel taught us about the cacao and her history, while we toured some cacao trees on the farm. We saw pods of varying sizes. It was very educational and Ancel happily answered my many questions.
After the tour outside, we went inside and got to crack open fermented beans and enjoy them. Later Ancel started roasting beans and asked if any would like to try stirring the pot. A little guy started then my husband offered. She commented on how he seemed to know what he was doing (of course he didn’t mention how he was a chef for years).
We opened the roasted beans and got to try them in comparison. There is more to the process, but I’ll let you attend your own tour to learn the rest hands on! It really is a learning experience throughout.
I guess this is not a spoiler: The chocolate we made is so delicious! It survived the hot and humid days of our travels and made it home safely four days later.
