Great charter and crew, questionable business practices

点评：Well. The crew was a SOLID 5 STARS. Organized. On time. Helpful. Friendly. Alot of people on the boat, but I felt we were all well Managed. The cleaning of the catch, and dividing up the trolling catch was a plus.
The 3 star rating comes from the office team. I booked this through the hotel, two days before the charter, I get a call from the company office directly. They said they couldn’t get a hold of the concierge, but they had an issue with our reservation that was scheduled to leave Monday. The report was the boat was broken, and a part would have to be flown in on Monday. We were able to join a charter on Wednesday, but had to change a couple days of plans and extend a rental car. However, at the time we realize that these things happen, mechanical issues can occur. They offered us free t-shirts for our trouble.
On the charter, they were going over our t-shirts we were going to get. I ask what happened to the boat on Friday and the crew was like ‘what do you mean’? I mentioned, I heard the boat was broken on Monday and that’s why we had to reschedule. The crewmember conferred when the captain and pretty much said that the boat was fine but they had not enough people booked so they canceled the charter.
If it wasn’t for the fact that the charter and the crew were great, I’d might have been more disappointed in the deceit. Why not just be honest with us. Why not post a minimum passenger rule. Just be wary of this I guess if you are looking to book.
