点评:This is an excellent zoo with good presentation of the animals and many rare species. At the time we were there there was a lot of very young animals around and we were lucky enough to see a newly born monkey. The Pandas are adorable.
There are two drawbacks.
Firstly the quoted entrance price is for locals - i.e. Malaysian citizens. Tourists, such as ourselves pay far far more, approximately 5 times more. This was a shock for us only having seen pricing like this in Turkey. It's still good value but beware of this.
Secondly we traveled to the zoo by metro and then bus. Going was easy taking 15 mins on the bus. When we went out to catch the bus back you cannot see how to catch the return in the opposite direction. We were told the stop was on the other side of the road but we could not see it. We waited for a bus going past in the original direction and the driver said he could take us on a loop taking over an hour. However, after 10 mins he stopped the bus going back the other way and we changed over, but I still wouldn't know where to catch the return near the zoo. Of course you can take a taxi but that is very expensive compared to the bus.
The cafe/restaurant in the zoo was expensive and had little choice. If you can bring your own.
But for all that the experience is about the animals and they are well worth it.
