点评：I recently traveled to Kel Suu Lake and Song Kol Lake with a group of friends, and I can honestly say it was one of the most breathtaking and memorable trips of my life!
📍 Kel Suu Lake:
Located near the Chinese border, Kel Suu felt like a hidden gem straight out of a fairytale. The journey to get there was a bit challenging — bumpy roads and long drives — but absolutely worth it. The turquoise waters surrounded by towering cliffs were surreal. We stayed in yurts overnight, and although the amenities were basic, the warmth and hospitality of the local hosts made it special. If you love adventure and untouched nature, don’t miss this place!
🐎 Song Kol Lake:
In contrast to Kel Suu's dramatic beauty, Song Kol offered vast open landscapes, rolling green pastures, and a true sense of peace. We went horseback riding around the lake, watched the sunset reflect off the water, and enjoyed delicious home-cooked meals in traditional yurts. The simplicity of nomadic life here is incredibly grounding and refreshing.
🙌 What Made the Trip Special:
Traveling with friends made it even more fun — singing in the car, sharing meals, and stargazing at night with zero light pollution.
The guides were knowledgeable and friendly, and the locals we met along the way were warm and welcoming.
Both lakes offered something unique — Kel Suu for the dramatic scenery and adventure, and Song Kol for serenity and cultural immersion.
📝 Tips:
Pack warm layers — even in summer, the weather can be cold and unpredictable.
Bring snacks and a power bank — some areas have no electricity or mobile signal.
Go with a local guide or tour group — these are remote regions and local expertise makes a big difference.
