Less Developed Stretch of Beach Good for Snorkeling

点评：Stretch of beach just north of the lava rock formation known as Black Rock and the more famous Ka'anapali Beach. Lined by low rise hotels and timeshare resorts, this is much a less developed and commercialized beach compared to Ka'anapali. However, it also lacks the allure of Ka'anapali. This is known as a good place to snorkel as the reef begins right after you enter the water. But this also means it lacks the sandy bottom that you find south of Black Rock on Ka'anapali. There is a paved walking path that runs the length of Kahekili Beach Park which provided for an early morning jog from our Sheraton Resort. At 7am, I thought it would be quiet out but I was amazed at the number of people out and about and I remembered that everyone is probably still on their time zone from the US mainland making early morning wakeups pretty easy at the beginning of the week.
