Sea Turtle Farm and Hatchery - Habaraduwa的点评
点评：This facility isn’t the largest, but the turtles here are very well cared for, with clean, well-maintained environments that support their recovery.
The centre specialises in turtle rehabilitation and houses many turtles that have suffered injuries from various causes, including fishing nets and pollution such as plastic waste.
There are clearly labelled hatching areas as you enter, and during our visit we even saw 2-week-old green turtles — we were lucky enough to release two of them, which was an amazing experience.
I’ve seen a few comments suggesting the entry price is too high for what the facility offers, but at 2,000 LKR (£5.00), after having been there it feels like a safe bet that the majority of this money goes directly towards the care and wellbeing of the turtles, which made it feel like a worthwhile contribution.
It may not be the biggest centre, but it’s absolutely worth a visit if you’re passing along the coast!
