点评：Save Our Seabirds is one of Sarasota’s true treasures. Located on City Island, this nonprofit rescue and rehabilitation center does extraordinary work caring for injured and orphaned birds while educating the public about coastal conservation.
The grounds are peaceful, thoughtfully maintained, and accessible, making it a wonderful stop for both residents and visitors of all ages. The staff and volunteers are knowledgeable, compassionate, and clearly dedicated to the well-being of every bird in their care.
Beyond rescue efforts, Save Our Seabirds plays an important role in preserving the natural beauty that makes Sarasota so special. It’s a meaningful place to visit, support, and share with out-of-town guests. There is plenty of parking available near the entrance. Allow at least an hour, maybe two.
Highly recommend stopping by; admission is complimentary and donations are welcome! We found a lot of lovely items for sale, but our favorites were the greeting cards and socks.
