Beautiful place. Beware of scammers

点评：The place is beautiful, but our experience was seriously affected by an attempted scam that happened right in front of its entrance. Try to visit with a guided tour.
We went on our own from Hatfield Station to explore the area. Keep in mind that all four people involved in the scheme were dressed as law enforcement officers. It was a very convincing setup. One of them approached us pretending to be a security guard from the complex, redirecting us away from the right path under the pretext that we had to go through a control point to obtain an access pass.
A bit further ahead, a woman — also dressed as an officer — kindly escorted us to another spot for the supposed “pass issuance.” At the next corner, she handed us over to two other men, also wearing official-looking clothing, and that’s when the act became more intense. They tried hard to convince us to process this “access pass.” One of them asked for an ID; I offered my Brazilian driver’s license, but he said it was invalid. In a quick move, he grabbed my credit card from my wallet, saying he needed the PIN to release it using a strange street-side keypad that didn’t even have a card slot.
I kept demanding my card back, refusing to enter any PIN. The situation escalated as I insisted on getting my card returned and leaving immediately. Eventually, they gave it back—probably because our confrontation was drawing too much public attention. By that time, the woman from the beginning had already removed her fake cap and disappeared.
In the end, it was a huge scare. We walked around the block and re-entered through another gate, as it would have been absurd to miss visiting the place because of a group of scammers. Be careful if you go!
