Spa need renovation more like leisure centre

点评：We had booked a relaxing spa day for 2 with a facial treatment. It was a hit and miss experience -Arriving at the hotel, it was clear that the place was in need of renovation, flaking paint and mould in all areas we visited. The pool area and steam room (floor almost slimy and littered) were particularly bad and disappointing. My robe was also stained with brown stains and I couldn't find a working locker in the changing room. The reception area and waiting area was small with no spare seats when we arrived. The staff (Agata) was friendly however. The complimentary hot drinks were a nice touch. We were presented with a creased menu to pick our lunch choice which was a limited choice and plenty of supplements, however when we went for lunch the room it was served in was lovely and the food was actually ok.
The facial treatment was a lovely relaxing treat and I couldn't fault that at all and neither could my husband( who I dragged into having a facial as well). The staff seemed lovely but it seemed that they spent a fair amount of time at the reception desk chatting with each other, which maybe came across as a little unprofessional.
Overall I wouldn't return or recommend as I felt the facilities were tired, dirty and mouldy and there are much better local spa hotels I have visited for less. It was more of leisure centre feel at spa prices - not particularly good value for money despite the treatment being lovely.
If a lot of money is spent on this hotel it could be lovely, but it is in a poor state of disrepair and there is only so much you can paint over before you need to fix the damp problem that is so evident in many areas.
