点评：In August 2025 I started my Brazilian expedition by being met at Campo Grande airport by Daiani and her driver from Boute Expeditions. They looked after me so well for the next 5 days.
I was booked into two SCUBA dive centres and Daiani organised my hooking up with them so smoothly there were no problems at all. She also made the excellent suggestion I do the Rio da Prata safari when you snorkel a few kilometres along a river with crystal clear water seeing the fish life and springs gushing water from the rocks below. Daiani had food poisoning the day before she met me but she did not let this prevent her from leading me on this experience so I had my own personal guide.
Also, when I dived the lake at the bottom of a cave which is 72 metres below ground called Abismo Anhumas, she joined me when I was winched down on a seat controlled all that way by a crane. This was true dedication to the welfare of the customer.
I was in Brazil to see the wildlife of the cerrado and Daiani and her driver made an excellent team knowing where to go to find it. We went to various spots rich in birds and mammals- there was always something to see- and made a trip to Buraco das Araras (sinkhole of the macaws). The highlight for me was the day I dived the lake in Abismo Anhumas and saw the skeleton of a giant anteater left there by an unfortunate giant anteater which fell in from the surface and then in the afternoon we walked up to within 10metres of a living giant anteater digging up an ant’s nest. I will treasure this day forever.
Boute Expeditions did a great job showing me many critters including burrowing owls, six-banded armadillos, collared peccaries, Brazilian tapirs and broad-snorted caimans among a whole wealth of bird and mammal life. I really recommend this outfit for wildlife tours in the Bonito area. They are very efficient and supportive in their work and have a full range of contacts to help the tourist access the activities they wish to do.
