Incredible 12 day comprehensive primate / animal / cultural tour of Uganda & Rwanda

点评：We took a 12 day tour with APS, beginning with pickup at our airport hotel in Entebbe, Uganda and ending with being dropped off at our Kigali, Rwanda hotel for our flight home a couple days later. I chose APS primarily because they were one of the few companies I found that offered not just transportation but also tour activities in both countries, and though it was not the cheapest option I found, I am very pleased with the decision to use them. Our driver/guide Peter was an excellent guide and companion for the duration of our tour. He was always on time or early, and he was both pleasant company and also professional & knowledgeable about what we were seeing and experiencing, so that we could learn and absorb as much as possible. The itinerary put together by Stephen at APS was a good fit for our interests, especially since we booked somewhat last minute and had to work around permit availability. He was very responsive and helpful during the planning process. We chose the mid-range accommodation package and most of the places were extremely nice, and we were more than satisfied other than the occasional brief loss of power / wifi due to storms, but that's to be expected in the middle of the jungle. The vehicle was spacious and pretty comfortable, and Peter was a good, safe driver.
Do be aware that if you're touring around this region, you'll likely be spending long hours in the vehicle between destinations. Even if it's only 100 km, it might take several hours. My husband's back started hurting him after so much time in the vehicle on bumpy roads, so we might've considered altering our itinerary slightly if we'd thought about that in advance. That has nothing to do with this company vs another, but just something to consider if you're bothered by long hours on the road.
Overall, this was an excellent company and we had an excellent guide in Peter. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others.
