点评：We just had 6 wonderful days in Palermo. It's such a mix of so many contradictions. We stayed in the centre and were surrounded by so many grand buildings. Some clean some dirty. The positive was the architecture, the historic buildings, the vibe, the cheap markets, the night-life, the bad was trying to drive through the streets with the motorbikes whizzing past you on both sides at the sane time. You needed a set of eyes all around your head, was pretty traumatic, especially at night time. The ugly side was the amount of graffiti, the rubbish in the side streets and the huge piles of dog poop everywhere. It could be such a beautiful city but the locals from councils to resididents etc just don't care. They could have it all cleaned up in 6 months. On saying this though we loved the city and could happily live there for a few months. It truly is a wonderful city. Just a shame you need to spend so much of your time looking at the pavement instead of the buildings.
