点评:We had always wanted to go here so on the way back from the shore we stopped. The people running the ferry and the t ram were great. Only a few people on the ferry so we looked forward to seeing the fort. We walked into the fort and could hardly believe our eyes. There were, in my estimate 200 very young children, ages 5-8 screaming and running amok. There were climbing fences and other places they shouldn't have been. Some were throwing stones at each other and at the walls. One child was scrawling on walls with a rock. Desecration of hallowed ground. The chaperones were aloof to all this and could care less. There were only five or six reenactors that didn't seem to know or care what was going on. What a disaster. Something that should have been fun was far from it. The conduct of these unsupervised children was uncalled for. The fort needs some serious upkeep also. We stayed only an hour and decided to leave, greatly disappointed. The three groups of children had priority on the tram and the ferry and we had to wait in the hot sun for over an hour and a half to get back to Delaware City. Someone really needs to step up to the plate and keep this sort of thing from happening again.
