A gem of a house!

点评：What a beautiful gem of a historic house. You can't help but fall in love with this wonderfully kept building. It has such a nice feel and is hugely interesting. Even the 8 yr old was thrilled to be there.
There is no stuffy, don't touch attitude, and you are made to feel very welcome. The displays are not only excellently done but also informative. The attention to detail is spectacular! From the smoudering embers in the chafing dish to the tiny mouse running up the kitchen clock. You really get the feeling the residents have just stepped out.
The teashop is simple and cosy. Supplying the visitor with a very good cuppa and a quick nibble. It's not pretending to be a glorious eatery. It is exactly what it says! A tearoom. However, it is a tearoom with very good tea, character, and lovely friendly staff (who I believe are unpaid volunteers).
We will definitely be giving Ford Green Hall another visit. In fact, I suspect we will be back regularly.
