点评：Mount Panorama is one of those places that impresses you even if you have little interest in motorsport. I had seen countless photos of the famous circuit over the years, but standing there in person was something completely different.
What surprised me most was the scenery. From the top of the mountain, the views across the Bathurst region are absolutely stunning. Rolling farmland, distant hills, and wide open skies create a landscape that feels distinctly Australian. During my visit, huge clouds drifted across the countryside, creating beautiful patterns of light and shadow that made the views even more memorable.
Driving the circuit itself was a unique experience. Since the track operates as a public road outside race events, visitors can follow the entire route at normal road speeds. This gives you a chance to appreciate just how steep the climbs are and how narrow some sections become across the top of the mountain. It is easy to see why professional drivers regard Mount Panorama as one of the most demanding circuits in the world.
There are several places to stop for photos, and every viewpoint offers a slightly different perspective of both the track and the surrounding countryside. Even without a race taking place, there is a special atmosphere here. You can almost imagine the excitement and noise that fills the mountain during major events such as the Bathurst 1000.
I would recommend allowing plenty of time to explore rather than simply driving around once and leaving. Take time to stop at the lookouts, enjoy the scenery, and soak up the history of this iconic Australian landmark.
