Unforgettable Erg Chigaga

点评：In July 2025, my family and I spent two days and one night in the Erg Chigaga desert with Caravan Cimes et Dunes, and it was an unforgettable experience. Our journey began in Zagora, where we met Brahim and Mustafa. They picked us up at our riad and took us to the desert through the breathtaking Draa Valley. From the very beginning, we knew we couldn’t have made a better choice.
Brahim and Mustafa were incredibly kind and welcoming, and they guided us to the camp through stunning landscapes. We immediately felt at ease. The atmosphere at the camp was warm and authentic, welcoming without feeling artificially touristic. We had the place to ourselves: no crowds, no noise... just peace, silence, light, and endless dunes. It was magical.
After trying sandboarding, we enjoyed a peaceful camel ride through the untouched desert. In the evening, Brahim prepared a delicious dinner, and we spent the night chatting, laughing, and listening to music under the stars. Brahim also shared insights into Berber culture in a wonderfully simple and genuine way.
We slept under the stars, and in the morning, we climbed a dune to watch the sunrise, something we will never forget. Brahim and Mustafa also introduced us to beautiful Berber music that we’re still listening to (we highly recommend checking out TASUTA N-IMAL, ART BEATz, and AZIZA QOBILOVA).
It’s hard to put into words an experience that touched us so deeply. All I can say is that I would do it again in a heartbeat. I wholeheartedly recommend Brahim and his team, they’re truly wonderful people, and they offer so much more than you might expect from a desert tour.
