Great Day exploring a park with a fantastic guide that also set up the next day.

点评：Had a brilliant experience in this park. Got there a bit late as there had been an accident closing the main road - so only arrived at midday.
I bought the park ticket online from the national parks website, so only $12 when you have included tax etc. I then got a guide from the car park, and this was where I got really lucky. I met Franklin who had excellent English, and was a brilliant guide. He also shared a passion for finding the animals and showing them. He also had a top quality scope to show what he could see.
At one point he stopped and said he could smell a snake, was sniffing around then was able to find it. I did wonder if he was just playing with me, but it was genuine, and he proceeded to tell other guides where it was when we passed them.
I would definitely recommend to everyone to get a guide. The comparative cost is low, you have spent lots of money going there, and even the most observant of you will miss so many things. Just spend the extra to make the day special.
Also in talking to Franklin Sanchez, we went on to another place afterwards, where he took me to a bar up in the hills overlooking the valley to spot some other birds while having a couple of beers, and then I arranged a private day with him the next day where he took me to around his village, the beach and an abandoned gold mine for bats - a brilliant morning. So get a good guide and you will get so much more from the trip.
