点评:Stopped at Lexington Brewing and Distillery after lunch, mainly with the intention of picking up some of their whiskey. A tour was about to begin, and they had room for one more, so I said "Yes Please!". Michael the tour guide was the best, providing us with a history of the brewing & distillery facility, while injecting a wonderful amount of humor here and there. This was not simply a "bourbon is made with at least 51% corn" kind of tour. He gave us so much behind the scenes information about not only Lexington Brewing and Distillery, but about the town and whiskey's place in it, as well as the family that started it all at Lexington. We had a chance to sample beer and whiskey along the way during the tour, so we were not consuming it all at the very end, but bit by bit as the tour progressed. At the very end of the tour, Michael made us all a coffee liqueur drink that was like something you would enjoy after a meal at a high end restaurant. Don't over look this smaller distillery while out on the Bourbon Trail, it's worth the stop, spend a little time and take in the tour, it is worth it.
