We grabbed some breakfast, but the selection was very poor – not what you’d expect for the price. After eating, we went to the bar to order drinks, only to find the alcoholic drink selection was extremely limited, despite the website advertising a “full selection” of drinks. That’s only true if you’re happy with something that tastes like dishwater.
I raised a complaint at 11:10am – just 20 minutes after arriving. However, because we had eaten, staff told us nothing could be done on the day. I wasn’t asking for a full refund, just a partial refund, as we would not have stayed if we’d known how limited the drink options were. Sadly, that was refused.
We left the lounge disappointed and ended up spending more than we’d planned elsewhere in the airport. The lounge isn’t cheap, and it felt like poor value for money.
To make matters worse, it took customer service three weeks to reply to my email, only to blame us and refuse any kind of compensation. Absolutely shocking service.
I strongly suggest Escape Lounge clearly lists the drinks menu on their website, so customers know what to expect before booking.
Based on our experience, I would not recommend the Escape Lounge at Manchester Airport.
