Well worth the trip, by car or by foot!
The GlenAllachie Distillery的点评
点评：GlenAllachie wasn't initially a part of our itinerary for Speyside whisky, but after hearing constant praise for the brand from practically every whisky shop and bar we visited, we figured we had to go- either they had the most successful PR team in history, or they were doing something really special. I'm glad to say that, after our visit, I'm confident it's the latter.
As an aside, despite its remote location, getting to GlenAllachie on public transport isn't bad at all. For us, we were staying in Dufftown, and took a local bus to Aberlour- from there, it's a scenic 30-minute walk to the distillery (though I'd note there's a sizable hill and no footpath for much of the walk, so proceed appropriately). That same bus route can also take you back to Elgin from Aberlour, linking you to rail lines and the rest of the region.
But back to the distillery- we arrived between scheduled tastings, and instead got a flight from the bar. We picked a wide variety of whiskies (plus an aged peated rum!), and each bottle's history and expected flavor profile was explained to us. The drams themselves were delicious, and hooked us into buying a bottle at their shop.
In the shop were two options for hand-bottling, straight from casks in the shop! I got an incredible Oloroso-finished whisky, at cask strength.
Not only was the distillery clean, welcoming, and all-around worth the visit, the whisky is also at fantastic prices (for those of us a bit more price-conscious)! Pours in the bar were mostly £5-7 per, a big difference from some of the more well-known distillers in the region, and the cask strength hand pour was quite reasonable too!

酒厂不仅干净、温馨，而且非常值得一游，而且威士忌的价格也很划算（对于我们这些比较注重价格的人来说）！酒吧里的酒每瓶大多在5-7英镑之间，与当地一些知名酒厂的价格相差甚远，而且原桶强度的手工装瓶价格也相当合理！
