Attractive Pedestrian & Shopping Zone linking Manly Ferries & the Beach

点评：Manly Corso is a wide, paved, pedestrian zone linking the ferries and Manly Beach.
For tourists staying in the city, a ferry trip across to Manly is a must. As soon as you leave the ferry terminal, walk straight ahead and you’ll hit the Corso.
Lined by shops, a handful of bars and palm trees, it is a lovely, open esplanade. There are water features with small water jets shooting up from the paving, a tiny play area, seating and a large modern sculpture at the beach end.
There are a handful of souvenir shops near the ferry end but once you’re in the middle of the Corso, most of the shops are surf brands, clothing or food.
ButterBoy Cookies is a very popular new addition in the middle of the Corso while Humphreys has been here forever. Humphreys is well known to locals - part newsagent, part bookshop, part toys, and part souvenirs/gifts, it’s always worth a look. The souvenirs and gifts here are much nicer and of a higher quality than a lot of other places.
At the beach end of the Corso is the old Steyne Hotel, a landmark pub directly opposite the beach.
Even though there are a lot of shops along here, there are not so many cafes. Cafes tend to be in the lanes running off the Corso or else along the beachfront, rather than on the Corso itself.
On weekends, it’s busy with the Manly markets and is filled with a sea of market stalls on both Saturday and Sunday.
