Unnecessary technology for something so simple
Morpeth Riverside Leisure Centre的点评
点评：Might be a nice pool, but what a palaver. This centre has recently been opened April 2023, however it could of been better. The car park is very small, most visitors park in the underground section of Morrisons car park and walk along the narrow path to the centre. Be warned the underground car park does not have cameras, and cars are frequently dented and scratched.
The changing rooms are not key operated but have a blue band or plastic pass card to lock items away. An unnecessary technology. Was issued with a blue band to secure my clothing whilst swimming, it did not work!!! What a waste!!!
If a user uses the Active card to secure their locker, where do you put it when you are swimming?? down your costume? They Really have not thought this through!!
The changing rooms are small, pokey and dark. Showers are hotter than the pool water. The spectators area only allows the person to view the large pool, not the "studio" small pool. Not ideal if you and your partner are trying to organise taking a baby or young children for a swim.
Three pools within 20 miles, using a different method of logging your attendance and securing your items. Blue band does not work at Willowburn Alnwick, White Active Card accepted, £1 coin returnable for lockers. Ashington accepts all cards (white and blue) and blue band, £1 coin returnable for lockers.
Much prefer to go to Ashington pool, bigger, better, brighter and no fuss.
