点评：I was fortunate enough to go to Gaya to perform Pind Dhaan for my mother in Jan of 2025. Based on prior reviews on TripAdvisor, I contacted Bhanu Kumar Shastriji a month before and scheduled a date. I explained to him that my father is alive and need to do pind dhaan for my mother alone. He collected details like gotra, veda sect etc and provided me the date I had requested for. He was able to communicate very well in English, Tamil and Telugu. I stayed in BodhGaya and he asked me to wait at the entrance to Vishnu Paad Mandir. He sent his associate to bring meto his place, a short walk (100m).
He explained everything to me in detail on what he is going to do in a very clear manner. Since my father was alive, he did the additional Matru shradham apart from pind dhaan. He mentioned I can pay what I can and was not demanding any money. His place is clean and I was able to do the ritual in a peaceful manner. He did the ritual in a very thorough manner, explaining to me after every mantra on what it means. His associate was very helpful and guided me with the rest of the process. After the ritual, his associate came with me so I did not have to deal with any intermediaries when submitting the pind at banks of Phalguni River (to the cows as we are not allowed to leave the pind in the river, since it was not flowing), at akshaya vat and at vishnupad mandir. All these were within 50m walking distance from his house and were very convenient. After that, the associate took me to a common kitchen, where two brahmins came and partook meals and blessed me. I returned to Sharstri’s place, took his blessings and came back to the hotel. The overall process took around 4 hours. I highly recommend BhanuKumar Shastriji for performing Pind Dhaan at Gaya.
