点评:This place surprised us! We visited with our 2 kids (13 and 11) and I was a bit concerned it would be too small and maybe cater to younger kids. But we spent 3 and a half hours here and both my kids loved it! There were many hands on exhibits and the illusions area was a huge hit. We didn't do any add-ons like the theater and still spent so much time here. The new Traveling Bricks exhibit was amazing!
The only complaint was with the cafe. We stopped by around 12:30, so seemingly prime lunch hour, and the only options in the hot food area were 2 slices of pizza and some mac and cheese despite a whole list of hot food items available. We asked the exceedingly friendly lady working the cash register if we needed to order what we wanted or just had to wait for it to be brought out. She wasn't sure as she said it was just her second day but she asked the lady working in the kitchen and that lady made it seem like what they had is what they had and that if she had to make something else, it would be a big inconvenience to her. So we just bought pre-packaged stuff (think lunchables) that you can buy in any supermarket. On the plus side, the meal for the 4 of us was about a 1/3 of the price of a hot meal at a different museum the day before. Maybe the cafe is better if you go on a weekend when its busier than the middle of the week in October.
