From a University Student's Perspective
The Cotswold Tour Guide的点评
点评：My parents and I had an amazing experience with David in the Cotswolds! He worked with us closely to create a highly personalized tour. In addition to incorporating places he was certain would cater to our unique interests, he was very open to special requests. I had certain types of things I wanted to see as an interior design student, and I also love nature. He knew just the right places to take us to. In addition to the original itinerary, he added a couple of surprises for my benefit, and they ended up being some of the most memorable parts of our excursion. We spent three days in the Cotswolds with David and could have easily spent more.
David was highly engaged during all of our tours, asking insightful questions that nudged the guides at the various attractions to elaborate on certain aspects he thought we might find intriguing. For one of the private tours, he requested a specific guide, and that particular tour ended up being one of the highlights of our trip.
As we journeyed from one itinerary spot to the next, David always took the time to share additional knowledge with us about the place we’d just been or answer any questions. Some areas of the Cotswolds are quite a distance apart, but that extra time in the car was a bonus. It was as if I had the privilege of traveling alongside a favorite professor, soaking up his wealth of knowledge while enjoying his quick-witted personality.
As far as scheduling - we had so many things we wanted to do, and while we stayed quite far away in Bath, David did a lovely job of making it all happen. Each day was fast-paced, but David was always willing to stop along the way or take extra time if we wanted to. Because he did such a great job keeping us on schedule, I had a little extra time to befriend a cow by the parking lot after lunch. Highlight of the trip! Not sure how many times in this review that I’ve said something was the highlight of our trip. I suppose it’s because the entire trip genuinely was that amazing!
When David presented me with a bound copy of our Cotswolds itinerary booklet at the end of the three days, he had written a nice message and gone out of his way to create some pages for me about historic English architecture and interior design. I have used those contents as inspiration in my studies.
Last, but not least, my family and I will be forever grateful to David for introducing us to Clarkson’s Farm. My dad and I love watching it together! I highly recommend David. He is a brilliant guide who will go above and beyond!
