Climbing Kilimanjaro with Team Champion (CK!) is THE BEST!

点评：I do not have enough words to describe the 8 day experience on Kilimanjaro with Team Champion and Climbing Kilimanjaro…NOR do I have enough awesome words describe the 4 day Safari we did with Matthew as our guide and Climbing Kilimanjaro that immediately followed our 8 day summit trek.
To begin, Arnold, Michael, Salim, Chiku, Robert, Michael and Razack were amazing guides. They set the ground rules and expectations early on and then through phenomenal leadership, teamwork, and strategy they ensured that our entire team made the summit! There were absolutely individuals that struggled throughout but the trek was catered to the young, the slightly older, the fit, the physically less gifted….it was amazing how they could actually successfully guide a group of 10 strangers so well.
Hats off to the porters, the waiters, the chefs, the toilet crew, everyone behind the scenes that made it happen: Jusuf, Juma, Ukana, Felix, Laban, Regina, Esther…they were all so instrumental.
The food is really impressive for what they can do for 8 days on a mountain. The portable toilets were kept clean and empty, the warm wash water came twice a day (in the morning and in the evening after hiking before dinner). If you are considering a climb, this honestly is the group. My wife and I know two other very different individuals that independently summited with CK. The vibes are great, the instruction and care is first class. You will not be disappointed.
After we got back to Arusha we booked a safari through CK as well and our safari guide was as Matthew. He was fun, lively, informative, and very kind. He has been driving for I believe 18 years and he knew all the ins and outs and great spots for animal viewing in the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangerie/etc…wished we had time for a longer 7-8 day safari but 4 was all we could squeeze in. Matthew was awesome and we’ll miss hanging with him all day everyday.
The farm houses we stayed at were first class 5 star resorts. They really were. The luxury tent camp was very nice. It wasn’t as legitimately luxurious as the farm houses but was MORE than spacious, clean, and awesome for stay way way waaaay out in the Serengeti.
Would absolutely book again. Trusted CK with my life and my wife for the last 12 days and they exceeded all expectations.
