点评：As a former longtime member. I took a 3 year absents from Cable Hollow. I was invited to a three-day event which included four meals, golf, gifts, and side games at additional cost.
The new structure for venues was attractive.
The food was good, and the tournament was being run well. Staff was helpful.
I noticed Friday's food specials at the bar starting at $20 for a Grilled Haddock. To give new commers some insight.
The course had some newly modified greens and bunkers. Two new Signature Holes added, one being a mimic of a PGA Signature Hole.
I found the course playing no different than any other public course in the area. I was disappointed in the greens Thursday and Friday being inconsistent conditions and speed. One original sand trap was marked out of play due to its condition. Others had small stones mixed in with sand. Fairways played well for summer rules. Mix review on Tees, some ruff, one temporary and some are nice.
Cable Hollow is rated easier than my present home course. The ratings need to be adjusted. It has some challenging holes and should be given credit. The course is not as blush and groomed as it should be. Need some fresh eyes. With the premium green fees set at a scale meaning higher green fees during prime hours. I feel the fees are pricey for what you are getting compared to surrounding public courses. The course has some work under construction and seems a little in disarray. So, take this into consideration. For a novice golfer the signature holes are nice touch but not a draw in my opinion. Membership fees are up. As always, look around for week-day golf specials and comparison shop for pricing within a 45-minute radius.
My gross score for three days. Gold Tees 77-77-78. In my opinion this course is overrated for what you are paying for.
