Our vacation in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, was absolutely unforgettable, and a big part of that was thanks to our incredible guide, Tony. From the moment we arrived at El Mangrove Hotel, Tony made us feel welcome and taken care of. He is not part of the hotel but his mobile office is on the beach which is attached to the hotel.
He led us through an amazing variety of activities—waterfalls, horseback riding, zip-lining, river tubing, hot springs, boating, jet skiing and more—and handled everything with professionalism, patience, and a great sense of humor. Tony was extremely attentive to everyone’s needs and made sure every part of our adventure trip went smoothly. He takes cash as well as credit card for payment.
What really stood out was how informative and knowledgeable he was about the local culture, wildlife, and natural landmarks. He made every stop more meaningful. His flawless English also made communication so easy, especially for those in our group who didn’t speak Spanish.
Tony went above and beyond to make sure we were safe, comfortable, and having fun every step of the way. If you're planning a trip to Costa Rica, especially in Guanacaste, do yourself a favor and ask for Tony—you won’t regret it!
