点评：I can't recommend enough, I don't know where to even start, from the friendliness of the people to the beauty, and the hospitality of the people that they even made us a rich delicious lunch!!
Shout out to Mr.Luqman, he was our guide, we were so lucky to find him, we were just walking around and we looked like tourist, so he helped us out and guided us for about 2-3hrs!!!
He was so nice and he told us a ton about the religion
Tips:
1-you walk barefoot so prepare some good socks
2-your feet are going to hurt if you're going to hike
3-ask, they are friendly!!
4-when you enter a place and it has a small high place at the beginning (I put a photo to make you understand)
Do not stand on that high spot, it's believed in their religion that if you want to respect someone's house, you must skip that high spot.
5-as tourists with a guide, we needed about 3hrs
6-you could donate if you want
7-you should kiss the priest's hand(they are not going to force you because you probably don't know(we didn't do it cause we didn't know))
8-we payed about 60$ for going and coming back from there(you could contact a transporting company or even ask the reception of your hotel)we came from Duhok citycenter
(Btw there is a cute small souvenir shop)
Honestly that's the best thing I visited in Duhok.
