Constant tangled lines and rude deckhand,

点评：The skipper was very polite and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, Mike, the deckhand was rude and abrupt before we’d even left the wharf and his attitude lasted the whole trip souring the whole experience. He ridiculed the way we rigged our lines, stepped in front and took over when we caught a fish, and toward the end of our time fishing, kept telling another group, “enough chatting, more fishing” repeatedly. As far as I’m concerned, if people are paying for the trip and the want to chat while fishing, that’s their business. Everyone was minding what they were doing. Their website says the trip will go ahead as soon as they have 12 bookings, but the boat takes up to 16. With so many people on board our lines constantly got tangled while we were fishing and obviously when we tried to reel fish in. The skipper and deckhand constantly moved from one side of the boat to the other untangling everyone’s lines. The skipper said, “that’s life on the Cougar”. Doesn’t make for an enjoyable fishing g experience when your line gets cut all the time and you have to re-rig it. At least we came away with 6 35-40cm snapper between 3 of us, maybe $180 worth of fish. Sad that an obnoxious deckhand and too many lines over the side soured our experience.
