点评：Our spontaneous visit to Dalquharran Castle in Scotland turned out to be an unexpected adventure filled with intrigue and imagination. After stumbling upon it on Google, we couldn't resist the allure of exploring an abandoned castle, despite some initial apprehension.
Following Google's directions led us through a farmer's field and past a gate, a sight that initially made me nervous. However, recalling Rick Steve's advice about public access to certain areas, we pressed on, reassured that our exploration was welcome as long as we respected the land.
After a 10-minute walk, we could see Dalquharran Castle emerged. Though newer compared to some of Scotland's ancient castles, its incomplete state only added to its mystery.
Exploring the castle's grounds allowed our imaginations to run wild as we envisioned what could have been and where it could be now. We started planning renovations and improvements if we could afford to purchase the castle. Which we can not.
By the end of our visit, Dalquharran Castle had left an indelible mark on our minds, sparking dreams of what might have been and igniting a newfound appreciation for Scotland's architectural wonders.
