点评：As a first-time visitor and solo female traveler to Egypt, I was excited but also a bit nervous about seeing tourist attractions around Cairo. When I booked this tour, I originally thought it would be a shared tour in a group, but it turned out to be a private tour (maybe because no one else signed up). Thankfully, my guide Mina was incredible—on time, very knowledgeable about Cairo, kind and reassuring. I felt safe and taken care of the whole time. We started out by driving about an hour to Dashur to see some early pyramids. Mina shared a lot of context about ancient Egypt and the sites we’d see and tailored the presentation based on the fact I’d already seen Giza and knew some basic historical facts. These pyramids truly feel like a hidden gem—they’re in the middle of the desert and I was one of the only tourists in the area (I felt safe though!) You can see how they looked in ancient times, without a crowd of tourists and vendors around. I went inside the Red Pyramid (if you do this, have your phone charged so you can use the flashlight, as there’s no other source of light; it’s also nice to tip the guy at the entrance). Then we went to see the ruins of Memphis and finished by seeing the “step pyramid” in Saqqara and getting some local food (you have options). Mina and Ramses Tours are fantastic!
