Located in the Leeds Castle grounds this adventure centre is only a stone's throw away from the M20/A20 motorway. The advice is “not to use a post code to find us as it will take you to the wrong entrance”. We used the Penfold Hill (B2163), Leeds, Maidstone, ME171RG address that took us to the “main entrance” to the castle grounds. Once there you can’t miss it.
Emphasis is placed on safety. The establishment uses the “Continuous Belay safety system, ensuring that participants are securely attached to the safety line at all times. This system allows attachments and disconnections only on the ground, providing continuous safety throughout the entire course”.
You go through a safety check when applying on line. You are furnished with safety instructions to read when you report at the reception. You are given further safety instructions regarding the use of the safety equipment and have a supervised practice on the ground before embarking on any climb.
Children between the age of 4 to 6 years are accompanied with an adult family member. Furthermore staff members are at hand throughout the course to assist.
The whole process takes roughly 2 hours including an enjoyable tree top excursion. The price is reasonable. There are minimum age and height restrictions so please check on line before going.
All in all an enjoyable outing for those with a head for heights. Recommend it.
