We underestimated it and will definitely return
萨努尔海滩的点评
点评：We frequently go to Bali, almost on an annual basis, but we never considered staying in Sanur, always Nusa Dua. We always dismiss it as, it's old, not really interesting.
Boy, we were wrong. First, the beach walking path makes it very interesting. Starting from the most southern point at Mertasari Beach all the way up to the northern part of Sanur. Second, there is so much to see along the beach path like old hotels, temples and other things.
What makes staying here interesting is also the food option, basically you don't need to get the breakfast option at the hotel and instead have breakfast in one of the restaurants along the beach whether it'd be a restaurant or a warung with the nasi goreng (fried rice), and enjoy the scenery while munching on your breakfast.
There are certain sections where the beach is almost gone due to erosion and the government is putting in efforts to revitalize the beach through nourishment, building wave breakers, replanting vegetation, etc. There are other sections where you just can lay on the beach and just enjoy the sun and the sea.
All in all we were pleasantly surprised and now consider Sanur as another option to Nusa Dua. We will definitely return
