点评：We took the half day offshore fishing trip that launched from the beach at the whales tail. It was an amazing, truly authentic Costa Rican experience. The guys on the boat crew were so friendly, and you could tell they just really loved fishing. They were just as amped when we came up on an amazing weed line as we were. We got two mahi pretty quickly, then went out to a reef about 20 miles out to jig. We were on fish, but couldn’t hook up, so we went back to trolling the weed line and got a bunch more mahi and a kingfish. You could tell the crew really wanted us to have a good trip, and even went over on time since we were getting a lot of action. After the trip, we went back to put the boat away, and while they were fileting the fish they prepared us some of the fresh kingfish as a ceviche like dish that was the most amazing fish I have ever eaten. It was a truly amazing experience and I would definitely go again. If your looking for a big fancy sportfishing boat with a fancy setup, this isn’t for you, but if you want a truly Costa Rican fishing experience the way the locals do it, I couldn’t recommend this more.
