点评：Our safari with Aquila Safaris through Samburu National Reserve, Buffalo Springs National Reserve, and Solio Game Reserve exceeded every expectation, and so much of that was because of our incredible guide, Moha Billow.
This was actually our second safari with Moha, and there was never any question about who we wanted to travel with when we returned to Kenya. After experiencing his guiding on our first trip, we specifically came back to have him lead us again—and once again, he exceeded every expectation.
From the moment we met Moha, it was clear we were traveling with someone who genuinely loves Kenya and is passionate about sharing it with others. His knowledge extends far beyond simply finding wildlife. He has an incredible understanding of animal behavior, conservation, local history, culture, and the ecosystems that make northern Kenya so unique. Every drive became an opportunity to learn something new.
The wildlife experiences were unforgettable. Whether we were photographing elephants along the Ewaso Ng’iro River, spending time with rhinos in Solio, or searching for predators across Samburu and Buffalo Springs, Moha always seemed to know where to be and, just as importantly, when to be there. His ability to anticipate animal behavior consistently put us in the right position for incredible wildlife encounters and outstanding photography.
As bird photographers, we were especially impressed by Moha’s expertise. His ability to identify birds by sight, flight pattern, and even their calls is simply remarkable. Thanks to his knowledge and enthusiasm, we photographed and identified well over 100 new bird species during our time together. He made every bird, from the smallest sunbird to the largest raptor, feel just as exciting as seeing one of Africa’s iconic mammals.
What truly sets Moha apart is the experience he creates. Every detail is thoughtfully handled, allowing you to simply enjoy your safari. He is patient, professional, organized, and always anticipating what comes next—whether that’s positioning the vehicle perfectly for photography, sharing fascinating insights into the wildlife around you, or making sure every aspect of the journey runs seamlessly. And knows where to find a great coffee!
Beyond being an exceptional guide, Moha is simply a wonderful person to travel with.
