点评：I spent a week with Nils in the heart of the Norwegian tundra at the end of November, and there are simply not enough words to describe this incredible experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed. Nils is an exceptionally kind and friendly person who takes genuine pleasure in sharing his culture, traditions, and stories.
When you visit, you don’t feel like a stranger or a tourist, you become part of the authentic life of the Sami reindeer herders. There are no frills or artificial setups; what you experience is real. You truly integrate into the Sami way of life, with all its challenges and beauty.
Being a musician, I had the honor of having Nils explain, share, and joik for me nearly every evening. Joiking is a traditional Sami singing method that holds great significance for their people, and it was a privilege to experience it so intimately.
If you’re expecting a luxury trip with hotel room service and the comforts of a five-star stay, this is not the experience for you. The conditions can be tough, and the weather is unpredictable and sometimes harsh. It’s a life of resourcefulness and living in harmony with nature.
But if you choose to go, you will come back changed. The stark contrast with our modern comforts is so striking that it forces you to reflect on what truly matters. This journey was absolutely incredible, and I will remember it for a lifetime!
