Total Rip Off - avoid and do your research

点评：just got back from Mauritius after a Christmas break. during our stay we booked three trips through our Coquille Bonheur rep who came to the hotel. the total cost was £750, after a supposed discount. to be fair we should have done our research prior to booking but regrettebly we assumed it was a reputable fairly priced company. in short we did the first trip and were quite happy. the second trip was to visit the giant tortoises at a local park, I noticed on hotel reception a price list for various trips and found we could go to the park through the hotel for less than half the price we had been charged. we also made further enquiries re the last trip we booked to visit an island on the east side and also a waterfall with lunch, we managed to book this same trip but to 5 islands and not just one, again with lunch for nearly 1/3 of the price we had paid Coquille. we immediately contacted the rep and asked why his prices were more than double than we could book through the hotel - he had no answer. we asked for a refund on the final two trips which we had not gone on yet and were told there was a £60 admin fee. we are still waiting for our refund. we have contacted our travel agent who will be taking it up with Gold Medal who I believe Coquille are contracted through. total rip off - avoid at all costs. this was a real shame as the island and people are fantastic, its just dissapointing that companies like this are allowed to operate like this
