点评：A 15 min boat ride to Padre cocha village, walk 10 mins to the authentic animal refuse. Gudrun and her staff over last 40 year offer a tour of multiple animals saved from an ant-eater, sloth, birds incl peacan etc a jaguar rescued from the ex-president who cruelly confined this magnificent animal to small box for entertainment. While the jaguar lives only meat in $1000 range per month kindly sponsored by a lady in USA, the president is in jail(hope he gets slop with worst animal treatment).
Gudrun is a beautiful Austrian-born version of JAne Goodall (who visited) whose butterflies farm is the other highlight: she showed each life stage from eggs to caterpillars to feeding on different leaves to become butterflies. Avoid the other "animal centers" where cruelty is the typical background to make them tame. Only 30 soles but I left her a donation, you should too if you see the selfless work she does (eg took a mistreated money into her house to cure it over months of a back condition)
